Meet Our Featured Administrators

At Newport Children's School Since:

Prior to my current role as Director of Early World Children’s School, I was the assistant director at Sammamish Children’s School. I moved to WA from the East Coast in 2017 with my husband and two children.

I love to read and learn about new things. In the summer,I’m either on the lake in our boat, paddle boarding with friends, or gardening. But my favorite thing to do is play with my puppy Hudson! My favorite children’s book is Eric Carle’s “Mr. Seahorse” because I used to read it to my own children when they were little.

At the start of my career, I worked as a nanny, then ran my own in-home daycare for 9+ years. I also worked as an executive recruiter on Wall Street and even at one point worked for a children’s entertainment company.

Assistant Director

At Newport Children's School Since:

I have been working in childcare for over 20 years. What started as a high school job became a passion. Outside of Early World I am a mom to two amazing children who couldn’t be more different.

When I find the time, I enjoy being crafty. Whether it be crochet or baking and decorating a cake, I like to express myself through hands-on crafts. My favorite children’s books are “Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?” and “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.

I recently completed my state certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Program Supervisor

At Newport Children's School Since:

I live in a 114-year-old house with my husband, two sons, and two cats.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and swimming and I take every chance I get to visit the beach with my family. I feel lucky to spend my days supporting teachers and interacting with the children in our care, in such a rewarding field and where each day brings new discoveries.

I graduated from Green River College, got a CDA and am currently enrolled in Early Childhood Education classes at LWTech

I have worked as a lead toddler teacher at childcare centers in Washington for 14 years, including EWCS before becoming the Program Supervisor in 2022.
